How does it Work?

As well as being comprehensive and fun for the kids to work with, the kit is very flexible indeed.

You have a number of choices

  • Embed the Soapbox into Science throughout the years at KS4
  • Introduce Enterprise alongside Science at KS4
  • Bring Enterprise to life at KS3
  • Build an enterprise day around Enterprise Soapbox - bring in Innovative Enterprise to help run it smoothly (and make it easier for you!) For more information have a look on SoapScience4YourSchool, the workshop we run.
  • Save yourself some time - it's all in the kit
  • Do some link-up activity with Primary Schools - it's brilliant for taster days!
  • Link Enterprise Soapbox into a number of other areas - there are handbook links for PSHE / Citizenship, CDT, Art as well as Enterprise and Science
  • What about a language link - make foreign language packs and marketing materials
  • Develop a range of products for the school - for sale at the school Christmas or Summer fairs
  • Use the kit to help your school in Young Enterprise-type competitions
  • Mentor the students to open up a Soap Shop - either at school or on the school's website
  • Challenge local schools to a competition to design and sell the most soap
  • Run a 'Dragon's Den' style competition and get the kids to develop their own branded products
  • Work through the weblinks in the kit with guided exercises to get the students researching products and packaging themselves
